Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that many players’ agents have been in touch with Man United in an attempt to complete a move to the ‘Theatre of Dreams’.
The Red Devils are in the danger of missing out on the Champions League next season and are hoping for Chelsea and Arsenal to drop points in the next 2 fixtures while we win our remaining 2 games against Huddersfield and Cardiff.
However, even possibly missing out on the Champions League hasn’t deterred the top players from joining Manchester United next season or at least that’s what Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thinks:
“In the long-term planning, we have to think about being in the Champions League next year.
“We might not be, but you’d be surprised how many players’ agents have been touting, telling us their players would love to be a part of Manchester United in the future.
“That’s the lure, the potential and size of the club, [the belief] that we will get back to the good days.
“We’ve not been up to the standards we expect, but it’s up to me and the club and that may mean a season without Champions League, who knows?
“But players still want to come to Manchester United and you wouldn’t be surprised by the names that ask.”
Champions League or no Champions League, Manchester United are still one of the biggest clubs in the world. The lure of playing at the Old Trafford is too big to turn down for any player.
Hopefully, this time our investment would be wiser that it has been for the past few seasons!
