Romelu Lukaku has had an inconsistent time at Old Trafford this season. The Belgian Striker has blown hot and cold, scoring in bunches and then having long droughts in front of the goal.
Questions have also been asked over his holdup and linkup play and now with OGS using Marcus Rashford as an out and out Striker, the playing time has been limited for Romelu Lukaku.
Spanish Football expert, Guillem Balague has been talking about the Manchester United transfer stories of late and he thinks OGS might not be fully convinced with the Big Belgian and could look to replace him the summer.
“The club will almost certainly be looking for another striker,”
“I’m not convinced that Solskjaer is convinced of the prowess of Romelu Lukaku as a regular goalscorer, and big teams need prolific strikers at their disposal to compete for first team places and also to provide a variation in attack.”
With Marcus Rashford suiting Ole’s style of play, Romelu Lukaku’s game time was always going to be cut down and Rashford’s impressive performances in front of the goal haven’t exactly helped the Belgian either.
Manchester United fans are still torn over Romelu Lukaku and this could be an interesting summer if Woodward and co. decide to replace him in the next few months.
