Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed what kind of players he would like to sign in this summer transfer window.
This Manchester United transfer window is all set to be a big one as we have been linked to a variety of players, most notably Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Nicolas Pepe and Adrien Rabiot to name a few.
However, Solskjaer has revealed the qualities he would like to see in a Manchester United star:
“We’ve tried to educate our players and our kids to be proper people. In my view, the best players have always been the best people.
“You have to have that value system and a certain kind of attitude about you to make a Man United player.”
”You have got to have the qualities and our fans want to see exciting players.
“Of course we want to get up from our seats. We want to see defenders who defend like they’re doing it for their lives – that’s the most important thing.
“When we start games [against big clubs], our fans clap a striker making a tackle. It’s always been in our culture.
“You have to have that work ethic and we’re scouting the market, trying to find the right ones.”
When you think about the players like Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes, you think about the values, work ethic and the passion they had for the shirt.
The current players, although talented, lack that will, hunger and drive to win at all cost.
Maybe, that’s the thing we are lacking the most. Maybe, that’s the thing Manchester United board should be looking to bring in this summer transfer window.
