David De Gea is having a tough at Manchester United as of late.
Considered as one of the best Goalkeepers in the world, the Spaniard has seen his stock fall massively in the last few weeks, thanks to his mistakes against Barcelona and most recently against Manchester City.
However, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put his faith in the Goalkeeper, claiming that he’s still one of the world’s best.
Asked if he could be dropped for the Chelsea clash, Solskjaer replied:
“No. Not at all.
“I trust David and he’s, for me, been the best player United have had in the last six or seven years.
“He’s been absolutely outstanding and going through tough patches is just part of a footballer’s career. David will be fine, no worries.”
On the matter of Scott McTominay’s fitness, OGS gave an update on the situation:
“Scott failed a fitness test on Wednesday morning, so he’s going to have another one today [Friday] probably to see if he’s available.
Scott McTominay should definitely start in our midfield 3 against Chelsea if he can pass his fitness test. What would your lineup be?
