Solskjaer sends Paul Pogba a message after Manchester United defeat by Wolves

OGS has come out in defence of Paul Pogba after his performance against Wolves last night.

The Frenchman had an ordinary outing at the Molineux stadium in the 2-1 defeat against Wolves, and given his recent flirting with Real Madrid and Zinedine Zidane, fans and critics have come out all guns blazing against the world cup winner.

However, OGS thinks that it was just a blip in his form and he will come back better in the next game:

“Sometimes today he could have easily had an assist,” Solskjaer said of Pogba. “And it was great play with him and Rom [Lukaku]. It’s figures and numbers, he is working as hard as any player in the team. Some days it just doesn’t come off.”

OGS was also full of praise for our academy star Scott McTominay who scored a goal and generally did very well against a resolute Wolves side.

“Scott has never let us down and today was another very, very fine performance by Scottie,” Solskjaer added. “So it won’t be hard to see him play for Man United for many, many games.

“He’s got such a great mentality, he is so athletic, he can play in different positions. Today we feel that’s his best position as a high midfielder, but he can play defensive role like he did against PSG and Liverpool. So I was very very pleased with him.”

McTominay was one of the bright sparks in our otherwise ordinary performance against the giant killers who have earned their nickname this season.

So, the race for the top 4 gets even hotter with our defeat against Wolves.

Now, what we need to do is to try and win all our matches or else we might be looking at Europa League next season (unless, we do the impossible in the Champions League)
