Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has addressed the Paulo Dybala transfer rumors after the 1-0 victory over Kristiansund.
The Red Devils have been linked to the Argentinian magician, in a possible swap deal that could see Romelu Lukaku moving in the other direction.
However, nothing is concrete yet, although, every newspaper and media in the country are reporting about it.
Thanks to a goal by Juan Mata in the injury time of second half, United completed a victory over Kristiansund last night and after the game, Ole was inquired about the possible Paulo Dybala transfer. Here’s what he said:
“I’m not here to talk about rumours about other teams’ players.
“We’re working on one or two cases. It’s 10 days or so before we start the league and hopefully, we can announce a fresh face or two.”
Of course, the gaffer wouldn’t take any names because that would be unprofessional, but the manager did hint about the arrival of a couple of new faces and that’s all we wanted to hear.
Meanwhile, Eric Bailly, who suffered an unfortunate knee injury in the game against Tottenham in the International Champions Cup, has undergone a successful operation on Tuesday morning.
The 25-year-old spent much of the last season out injured and it seems like the trend will continue yet again after it was confirmed that Bailly won’t be returning until Christmas:
“He’s had an operation,” Ole said. “He’ll miss the best part of four or five months. Hopefully, we’ll get him back around about Christmas.
”It was positive news from the surgeon, he had the operation this morning. He was positive it was all repaired and that he’ll be fine.“
Eric has had a bit of rotten luck with injuries in the past few seasons. We hope for a speedy recovery for the Ivorian.
