Solskjaer: “This is what I think of De Gea after his performance last night”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has backed David De Gea after his howler against Barcelona last night effectively killed the game for us.

One of the best goalkeepers in the world, DDG had a night to forget at the Camp Nou, after he let in a tame Messi effort through his hand to make it 2-0 Barcelona.

However, OGS has refused to criticize the Spaniard and given all his backing to the goalkeeper:

“That’s unfortunate with goalkeepers. When you make an error, it can get highlighted and that’ll be remembered.

“But he made some fantastic saves as well and all in all his contribution to the team is good, but sometimes that happens in football.

“The quality of their finishing was absolutely outstanding. We started well in the first 15 minutes, we felt ‘we’ve got something here’ and then in four minutes they scored two goals.

“The attitude was right, we were fighting against a good team and good players out there.”

We still have the top 4 spots in the Premier League to play for and OGS is right to back DDG after his performance last night.

De Gea is still one of the best goalkeepers in the world who has got us out of trouble on numerous occasions. One unfortunate night at the Camp Nou shouldn’t change that perception!
