Solskjaer wants to win against Brighton for Manchester United fans

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised to make sure his side would win for Manchester United’s fans when they play against Brighton on Sunday.

Manchester United are yet to win a Premier League home game after September 14 when they achieved a 1-0 victory over Leicester side after Marcus Rashford scored from the penalty spot.

“We need a good result, we want a good result, we are going to give everything we can to get a good result,” Solskjaer said. “Because I think the fans deserve it and we owe them that.

“They have been backing us through this difficult period and hopefully we can continue the good home form. Liverpool was a good performance, Partizan was a good performance and the fans have been great so we are ready.”

United players did not get much time to rest between their Europa clash and the Premier League game against Brighton, however, the boss didn’t seem to be too worried about it. When asked about it, Solskjaer said:

“I don’t think you need more days than a couple in between.

“We had five days after Bournemouth to get ready for the game against Partizan and it was two days in between for Brighton, so it was a quicker turnaround but we recovered.

“We have got a good sports science department, good physios, they have good treatments, the players are professional and they look after themselves. Confidence after Thursday night is high.”

Brighton are currently six places above United in the eighth.
