It’s no secret that Manchester United are in a hunt for a Central Midfielder given that there’s a doubt over the futures of Herrera and Pogba.
An ageing Nemanja Matic and an inexperienced Pereira, McTominay and Fred complete the queue. So, of course, a Central Midfielder is the need of the hour at Old Trafford!
One name that has been thrown around the Spanish media in the last few days is the Atletico Madrid player Thomas Partey.
The Ghanaian star is available this summer transfer window at the price of €50m, as quoted by Marca:
Thomas Partey | An article in today's Marca says the player is available for €50m.
'Several Premier League' clubs have contacted his entourage.
He wants to know what Simeone's plans for him are. Wants to play more and a move possible if he's not assured he will. pic.twitter.com/c5yLWz612Q

‘Manchester United have identified Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey as a summer transfer target, as the Red Devils seek to beef up their midfield options.’
‘According to sources close to the player, the Ghanaian is very keen on a move to Old Trafford as he wants to fulfil his dream of playing in the Premier League.’
It seems that everything is pointing to the fact that Partey to Old Trafford could be a very real possibility in the near future.
The 25-year-old, although talented, has failed to nail down a regular spot in the Atletico Madrid lineup. And at the price quoted, one might think that there could be better options than Partey in the transfer market. Unless of course, OGS personally asks for him which seems a distant possibility.
What do you think about this?
