Steve Nicol thinks that Liverpool should sell Adam Lallana in this summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old attacking midfielder has made just six appearances in the Premier League for the club in the last two seasons.
And Steve Nicol feels that Liverpool should sell Adam Lallana, as he had not contributed to teams performance since 2017, and has been on sidelines due to injury.
“I don’t think Lallana is good enough for where Liverpool are now,”.
“Liverpool need to be filling the squad out with players who are going to push the starting eleven players.
“For me, Lallana doesn’t push anyone in the starting eleven.”
Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton on July 1, 2014, for a reported fee of £25m.
During his five years stay at Liverpool, Lallana won his first Champions League the last season.
Lallana, recently in an interview with Press Association Sports, told that he is eager to get back in form.
“I am as eager as ever to get fit because I know when I’m fit, I’ve got a lot to give and I can get in this team,” he said.
“I know my ability, and I know what I can give. And the gaffer and his staff and the recruitment guys have all made it clear they know I have a big part to play with what’s to come next, so I’m buzzing with that. No question my future is here and I can’t wait for what’s next.”
It has to be seen if Jurgen Klopp will sell Lallana in the summer window or he will allow him to play in the first team despite fierce competition.
