Swansea City winger Daniel James has hinted that he is set to sign for Manchester United at the end of the season.
We had already covered this report yesterday that the talented Swansea City winger’s move to Manchester United is a mere formality after the Red Devils had expressed interest in the Welsh Star.
The news of United’s interest in James meant that the fans were obviously going to scroll through his old tweet because apparently, that’s what some fans do and one United fan managed to find an old tweet where James had some nice words for Liverpool star Mo Salah:
James apparently tweeted ‘Salah is some player’ after his brace in the 5-2 win over Roma in last year’s Champions League semi-final.
The tweet didn’t seem to go down well with that Manchester United fan who asked the Welshman to delete it if he’s interested in coming to the Old Trafford.

Surprisingly, Daniel James did delete the tweet confirming his intentions to sign for the Red Devils this summer.
While it’s all but confirmed that the 21-year-old will be donning the Red jersey next season, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer decided not to entertain the transfer rumours in his press conference:
‘I don’t know how many names have been mentioned since I’ve come in. There are players I’ve barely seen that I’ve read we are going to sign. There’s loads of speculation.’
‘I can’t comment on every single individual. Many players, as I’ve said. I don’t like when other managers talk about my players and I wouldn’t talk about others, even if I wasn’t or if I was interested.’
Do you think Daniel James could be the next breakout star for us?
