Spurs new boy Tanguy Ndombele says he has come to make a name for himself as he plays down all comparisons to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.
Tottenham fend off competition from the likes of Manchester United, Paris Saint Germain and Manchester United to land the young Frenchman in a club record deal last week.

The 22-year-old heavily impressed during his spell at Lyon with his impressive first touch, expansive passing range and dribbling ability, earning comparisons to compatriot Paul Pogba.
But Ndombele has now played down all such comparisons with the Manchester United ace.
“I have heard it all. I am here to make my own path.” Ndombele told L’equipe.
“Paul has made his own in England. I am Tanguy: not the new [Michael] Essien; not the new Pogba.”
When asked what sort of player he would like to showcase in the Premier League, he replied: “Myself. I want to be myself.
“I want to become the person I am supposed to become. I am here to work, I am 22, I am not at my maximum I don’t think, I hope in any case.”
Ndombele has gone on to make six appearances for the French international team but he faces an insurmountable looking task of displacing Paul Pogba and N’Golo Kante from Didier Deschamps’ side.
“I am not going to say that I am far away, but [Kante and Pogba] are ahead of me. There is work to do, I need to continue to hustle.
“They became world champions, so automatically they are ahead of me. They have more experience than me too. I see it in training during sequences.
“These little details, movements, turns. I am eternally unsatisfied, so I will continue to learn.”
Can Ndombele outclass Paul Pogba in the Premier League this season?
