Alberto Moreno joined Liverpool in the year 2014. It has been five years since he made the move from Spain to England. In this time he hasn’t been able to become even the second choice in his position.
The emergence of 21 year old Andy Robertson has left everyone in his wake, none more so than Moreno. He seems to have fallen so far down the pecking order that even injuries and suspensions don’t lead to any game time for the Spaniard.
In such a situation, most players move to pastures new. Moreno is only 26, and by convention approaching his prime, so the temptation may be stronger to start every week.
Klopp may start James Milner in his stead though because of Robertson’s suspension. In such a scenario it should spell the end of Moreno’s time at Anfield.
All the best lad!
