A remarkable stat has emerged in the hindsight of Chelsea’s comprehensive 3-0 win against Brighton which Maurizio Sarri has seemed to overlook for the better part of 2019.

According to Twitter user Daniel Storey, Eden Hazard has scored more than half his goals when Olivier Giroud has been on the pitch.

What’s baffling is that the Italian first team coach has started the pair only nine times together and last night’s game was the first time the duo started a game together in 2019.

Olivier Giroud is often Chelsea’s most underrated player with the Frenchman laying down his body to bring other players like Eden Hazard into the game.

Hazard also has previously has admitted he liked playing with Giroud labelling the French striker as ‘A Wall’ he could bounce the ball off.
