Can Chelsea let go of one Hazard and sign another this summer?
German outlet SportBILD reported in February that Chelsea does have the right to match another club’s offer for Thorgan Hazard instead of a straight buy-back clause.
But Borussia Monchengladbach’s sporting director Max Eberl has refuted all those claims in an interview to Express.de saying :
“There is no clause,” “I do not want to comment on any contract content. But we also do not need to make any secrets about it.
“If we get such a top player from Chelsea, then Chelsea has, of course, always the opportunity, in whatever form, to think about this player.”
So if it isn’t clear at the moment what the truth is and add to that Chelsea’s transfer ban scenario, It looks like a challenging summer at the Stamford Bridge
