The moment Tottenham’s new season begins will put a marker on the ambitions that Daniel Levy has for the club. Tottenham have failed to sign new players since signing Moura from PSG in January 2018. That’s almost 18 months now without a transfer and add to that the fact that players like Eriksen will leave Spurs next season.
Toby Alderweireld wants to know what Spurs will be up to next season
Christian Eriksen has revealed that he wants to try out a new challenge next season. However, even with just one more year on his contract, Alderweireld has said he is planning for the next year at Spurs. Even if it’s just for next season and no more.

Tottenham’s new season will reveal how the club deals with it’s stars as well as the new signings. The transfer window in England has been closing early since last season so a proper answer will be clear by August 8, when the window closes for Premier League clubs.
As it stands, his last contract extension in this January will expire next summer and has a built in release clause of £25 million. The clause is only valid for this summer and Tottenham risk losing Alderweireld for free next season. It seems Alderweireld is not to keen to invite a bid from another club at the moment.
Speaking after Belgium’s win over Kazakhstan where Dries Mertens and Lukaku scored, Alderweireld said he is planning to be back at Spurs next season.
