AC Milan’s Suso is a 25 year old right winger who is not an unknown quantity for the Premier League. He was a Liverpool man from 2010 through 2015, but perhaps played for them for only a couple of seasons. Liverpool sold him to Milan, where Suso has since become an integral part of the squad but with Gennaro Gattuso now out the door, his future is uncertain.
Tottenham want to use the uncertainty around Milan to lure the Liverpool reject back to the Premier League. The club believes that Milan’s failure to qualify for the Champions League will grease the wheels for a transfer. However, there is one thing that can stop Daniel Levy from getting the right winger he wants- West Ham.
The Hammers are in pursuit of Suso and believe they can lure him to the London stadium under manager Manuel Pellegrini, a former Premier League champion with City. So it is, two London clubs fighting over a former Liverpool winger.
Calciomercato goes on to claim there are four and not just two suitors for the Spanish winger. The reason for such demand maybe the appointment of new manager Marco Giampaolo. The report says that he may not be able to fit Suso in his preferred formation and thus Milan may be sounding out potential buyers. Of which there are plenty: Arsenal, West Ham and Spurs in London. Atletico are also said to be admirers of the players and they would definitely be a bigger challenge to beat compared to West Ham.
AC Milan’s Suso played 35 league games last season, scoring seven and assisting nine goals throughout the campaign. Tottenham were trying to sign Malcom last season for the same position but failed as Barcelona scooped up the Brazilian. Could this transfer window give Tottenham a Spanish solution to the problem in the form of Suso? Would you have him at Spurs? Let us know.
