Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke for around £10million from the Peacocks this summer and sent him back on loan for the upcoming season.

And, Now Darrent Bent believes that Tottenham could land midfielder Kalvin Phillips ‘easily’ and has all the ability to make it into the Spurs squad.

“I’d like to see Kalvin Phillips move on, he’s earned that Premier League status,” Bent told Football Insider.

“He can go to Spurs, quite easily.

“That holding role, getting about the pitch and making tackles and that, I can see him at Tottenham easily.

“They’re crying out for that player, so I can see him going there and he might not start straight away, might have to bide his time, but I can guarantee you once he gets in there he won’t come out.”

Apart from Philips, Tottenham have also been tipped to have completed the signing of Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos according to Spanish outlet AS.

The Spanish U-21 international has been deemed surplus to manager Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Bernabeu with the Los Blancos ready to cash-in on him.

The Spurs face competition from Liverpool and arch-rivals Arsenal but according to AS, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are the favourites to land the Spaniard.

Ceballos has said that he does not want to leave Real Madrid but will be forced into a decision should the club not provide him with quality first team playing time.

Dani Ceballos has previously admitted that Leaving the Bernabeu will be a tough decision for him.

“I have a bit of experience and I believe that next year will be my best year”
