Followed by a swoop for Leeds United’s rising star Jack Clarke.
Tottenham are looking to bolster their squad even further during the ongoing transfer window.
On that note, Spurs are on the verge of snapping up Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid according to Spanish daily AS.
According to the report, Mauricio Pochettino has held crunch talks with the midfielder and his representatives assuring them of regular playing at the club something Ceballos has been craving for a long time now.
Real Madrid are undergoing a massive revamp at the club after a dismal showing in La Liga last season.
Ceballos only made 23 appearances for the Los Blancos last term and is deemed surplus to Zidane’s requirements who is still keen on his compatriot Paul Pogba.
Liverpool have also been doing rounds around the midfielder with manager Jurgen Klopp believed to be an admirer.
The German is looking for a way to extract the best out of Naby Keita and feels that the Spain U-21 international is the man up for the job.
Although the midfielder himself has previously admitted that Leaving the Bernabeu will be a tough decision for him.
“I don’t want them [Real Madrid] to sell me,” he said last month during his commitment with the Spanish U-21 side participating in the U-21 European Championship.
“But I want to enjoy myself and feel important, wherever that may be.
“I have a bit of experience and I believe that next year will be my best year”
