UEFA Champions League: record-breaking revenues recorded for Liverpool

Liverpool reached the Champions League final last season and raked in a record amount of €81 million. Proving that it is not just on field glory on offer.

The revenue for last season will certainly be smaller than this season, as a new rights deal has kicked in at the beginning of the season. If Liverpool play the final again, they would have made more money than last season.

For instance, the semi-final berth in itself is worth almost €12 million. Liverpool announced record breaking revenues for last year after a successful campaign.

This revenue stream should further be bolstered by the Premier League prize kitty, where money on offer is proportional to the final league position. Obviously fighting for first also means the Reds are fighting for the most prize moeny as well.
