Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney says that he admires the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, as, under his management, they have become one of the best clubs in Europe.
The 52-year-old German coach won two Bundesliga titles and a German Cup with Borussia Dortmund before joining Liverpool.
Wayne Rooney says Jurgen Klopp has transformed Liverpool, following their back to back appearances in the finals of the Champions League, winning the tournament last season by defeating Tottenham in the finals by 2-1.
In Wayne Rooney, Jurgen Klopp has found a massive admirer, who feels that he is a great coach.
Rooney in an interview with Sports Bild, said, “Jurgen is a manager every player would love playing for,” Rooney told German publication Sport Bild.
“You can see how much fun his players have playing under him.
“I met him once, he is an amazing guy.
“I have much respect for Jurgen Klopp and for what he already has achieved. Not only in Liverpool, but also in Dortmund.
Jurgen Klopp, since his arrival at Liverpool in 2015, has made some great signings in the form of Sadio Mane, Alisson, Salah and Van Dijk, who with their performances, have transformed the Anfield side into one of the best teams in Europe.
