Ed Woodward has reportedly told David De Gea’s agent that he won’t be afforded the same kind of salary as Alexis Sanchez.
It has been reported that several of Man United Stars including David De Gea and Marcus Rashford have been stalling on new contracts to demand a big pay rise.
Alex Sanchez is Man United’s top earner with a weekly wage of almost £500,000 after including all the goals and appearance bonuses and David De Gea is pushing Woodward to get a pay rise in that bracket.
Clubs like PSG, Juventus and Bayern Munich have been tracking the Spaniard’s contract situation at United but Woodward has refused to budge.
Ed Woodward has reportedly told De Gea’s agent in clear terms that the Spaniard should stop expecting that kind of money which has created a tension between the 2 parties.
It is also claimed that Ole Gunnar has intervened the situation between De Gea and Woodward because he’s very keen to keep the Spaniard at the Old Trafford.
It remains to be seen who budges first but hopefully, De Gea stays at the Old Trafford!
