What is the best android app for a Football fan? I’ve heard this question plenty of times and so I decided to write an article about it.
Of course, it’s a subjective question that depends a lot on what you want in an application. Some fans might want an app that keeps them regularly updated on the latest scores on the go about their favorite teams and clubs. There are plenty of apps that do that. But I’ve found that Forza football and one-football, amongst others, are good in that regard.
However, a lot of the Football fans want something more interesting out of an application. It is actually quite a surprise that there are so few apps in the world of Football that offer anything more than the Live scores or daily football news and rumors (of which most are fake chatters anyway!).
But, is that all there is to be offered?
What is the truly most exciting thing about being a Football fan?
Obviously, as a fan, you would love to watch your team doing well. But why? How does that help you in your day to day life?
Does watching your club win helps you pay the damn bills? Or does your club winning the Champions League trophy will pay off all your debts or give you the balls to talk to the girl you have had a crush on since forever?
It certainly wouldn’t help to convince your missus to let you go out for a drink with the lads down at the pub. Well, nothing can help you with that!
So, why do fans get so attached to their club? And what’s the best part of being a Football fan.
The answer is simple. The best part of being a Football fan is that it gives us a sense of camaraderie and identity. What’s better than having a pint with the lads while enjoying some good old banters amongst ourselves, right?
Whether it’s Arsenal conceding yet another defensive mistake in the final few minutes or Tottenham bottling (we know we are sorry!) a chance to win a silverware. Or it could be Man United spending millions to only finish at sixth (you can’t blame us on this one!), Or Man City spending billions to buy (?) the Premier League trophy, there are plenty of funny banter that affects you personally because of how strongly you identify yourself with your favorite club.
So, as a fan, what do you do when someone creates an embarrassing banter against your club? Of course, you get back to him with banter of your own that re-establishes your sense of pride and gives you an upper hand against your rival fans and the club.
Here are a few screenshots from an android app called Banter Box which has thousands of fans from the United Kingdom and all over the world creating funny banter against one another:
Of course, there’s also a sense of responsibility and a responsible fan wouldn’t want to jump the guns and insult others personally. That kind of stupidity calls for a ban and these guys at Banter Box are pretty strict in that regard.
However, funny and creative banter always have a place in their feed and these are the kind of banter that has high entertainment values for the fans who need some kind of release from everyday stress at work.
The pride of creating a brilliant banter that not only elevates your status within your group but also pushes the rival fan to come up with a witty and fitting reply is what makes this circular game a really joyful activity for thousands of fans on this app and also the millions of people on the planet.
So, as I said at the start, while the question of best android app for a Football fan is a subjective one, I’ve found that Banter Box is a unique concept that satisfies my ‘fan needs’ and help me identify myself as a proper football fan in the crowd while being really funny and enjoyable at the same time.
This app has helped me connect with the fans of my favorite club from all over the world and create a community that I am really proud to be a member of. This app truly is social media for football fans!
