Pep Guardiola was watching with bated breath as the game hung in balance at Anfield vs Spurs. Like a lot of people in Manchester, red or blue, he doesn’t want Liverpool to win the title.

Obviously not because he is a grumpy bloke, but because it would mean he doesn’t get to retain it at Manchester City.

His team will play Cardiff on Wednesday and therefore he is obliged to take part in media duties and give statements. Read on to find what he said about Liverpool v Spurs, which he was watching apparently:

If City win on Wednesday, they go back on top of the table. Liverpool will then have to win against Southampton to keep first place.
