Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Sevilla Striker Wissam Ben Yedder ahead of a £35m move from Sevilla in this summer transfer window.
Current Red Devils Striker Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a move to Inter Milan as the Belgian has made his intentions clear about looking for new challenges elsewhere, preferably Serie A.
It’s being reported that Lukaku won’t be pushing for a move away from the Old Trafford, although, he would prefer for the transfer to go through, with the Belgian’s heart set on Inter Milan.
Now, the recent reports that are coming straight from Spain claim that Manchester United have already identified Wissam Ben Yedder as an ideal replacement for Lukaku and have reportedly already agreed on the personal terms with the Striker.
The 28-year-old Frenchman was in prolific form for Sevilla in the last campaign as he notched up a massive 30 goals and provided 11 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions.
While, big clubs like Barcelona and PSG were keeping tabs on the Striker, Ben Yedder reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League with Manchester United his preferred destination.
It’s also being reported that while Ben Yedder is being weighed up as a replacement for Lukaku, United would be tempted to complete the deal even if Romelu Lukaku ends up staying at the Old Trafford this season.
At 28-year-old, £35m seems like a wise investment on Ben Yedder, especially given the fact that the Frenchman is in brilliant form and incredibly deadly in front of the goal.
Manchester United have already completed the signing of Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James while we haggle on the Bruno Fernandes and Sean Longstaff deal.
However, it seems like Ben Yedder could jump the queue and end up becoming our third signing of the summer!
