Xavi is scared for Barcelona because of Sadio Mane before Semi-final

Barcelona’s legendary ex-midfielder Xavi has spoken about the imminent match between the Reds and the Catalans. The first leg of the fixture will be played at the Nou Camp today.

The last meeting between the two clubs in the competition was in 2007. However, a lot has changed since then. While Liverpool lost their last match to Barcelona, it is Barcelona being warned about the danger we pose this time around.

Luis Suarez has already admitted that he will be cautious when facing his former team because this Liverpool squad went all the way to the final and will have a good handle on their emotions and an experience to help.

Liverpool have scored more goals this season that Barcelona and the man who has contributed a big number of those (25 to be exact) is Sadio Mane. The attacking player has been a constant threat, even when Salah was a bit off-the-mark.

Xavi has spoken how dangerous the Liverpool right-winger can be. He goes on to warn his compatriot Jordi Alba. Alba will square up against Mane as the left-back for the Blaugrana club.

How much of an impact Mane is able to make up against Barcelona will define how right Xavi is in his fears. It is a good thing that opponents respect us more than they did in recent times.
